IMPALA-6109 made it necessary to xfail test_hdfs_safe_mode_error_255. Once HBASE-18738 has been fixed, we should re-enable the test. On the other hand, newer versions of HBase may return a proper error code for failed writes during safe mode (e.g. "Error(30): Read-only file system"), so we may need a better way to trigger "Unknown Error 255" then.
