Accepted Projects for GSoC 2012

I'd like to congratulate and welcome both Bhargav Golla and Prabhath
Suminda for their projects being accepted in this year GSoC. The first
phase of GSoC is when students get familiarized with the Mentors,
project and technologies, so I'd recommend you guys start having
discussions and getting familiar with Apache infrastructure and the
"dev mailing list" where most of the discussions should happen.

Hello everyone,

I am Bhargav Golla, a student pursuing my bachelors degree in Computer
Science Engineering from BITS-Pilani, india. I am very happy about getting
into GSoC. I congratulate Mr. Suminda for making it to GSoC.
Let me start of by giving a brief explanation about my project. One can
find information about my proposal
here<http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/project/google/gsoc2012/bhargavgolla/12001>.To
keep it simple, my project is mainly to develop a Hybrid mobile app and
this app will stream all photos a user uploads to
various Photo-sharing sites. I will start of the work with Facebook, Picasa
and Flickr as these are the most used and have good API documentation.
Even though I have experience with Android development, I strongly feel
that I should gain working experience with PhoneGap. I would be reading up
on resources provided on the Phonegap website for the same.
I will start of reading documentation of Facebook, Flickr and Picasa APIs
too.
Apart from this, it would be great to get to know from my fellow developers
about the best things I can do to gain a lot from this limited time of
Community Bonding period.

Regards

Hi,
Thank you for your concern and accepting my proposal. Also I like to
congratulate Bhargav Golla for selecting for GSoC 2012. I am very glad to
contribute to the Photark project as my GSoC project and I am
very excited to involve with the community.
My project proposal is available in the following link (
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/55149410/Proposal.pdf).
This is the link to my LinkedIn profile (
http://www.linkedin.com/pub/prabhath-suminda/26/43a/624).
I have involved with some other Apache projects and I have some experience
about how apache communities works. But I have a small problem. I have an
exam in next week. So I won't be able to involve with the community in next
week. After that I will be able to spend my full time for the project and
then there will be many community involvements. I informed my mentor about
this and he is ok with that. So please excuse me for my one week delay to
start community bonding.

Regards,
Prabhath
