Will Xerces support the XML Information Set?

All,

The XML Information Set:

http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/REC-xml-infoset-20011024/

Appears to be the latest recommendation to pop off the W3C pipeline. The
InfoSet appears to be another way of representing a XML document in memory.
It has some similarities to the DOM, but differences in others. For example,
there is no DOM equivalent to the InfoSet's "namespace information item"
construct.

Does anyone have plans for integrating the InfoSet into Xerces? Or (like
XLink) - would it belong to another architectural layer altogether?

Regards,
Peter.
