--- Comment #1 from Armin Le Grand <Ar...@me.com> ---
ALG: No double-click needed, shapes *are* ungrouped and are multiselected. This
is the default when ungrouping to be able to continue working with the shapes
from the group. It is also consequent because the group was selected before
ungroup, thus selecting all ungrouped objects after ungrouping is the action
which changes the user's intention (he had selected the group object) most
minimal.
No error from my POV.

NOT reproducible with server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-Dev – English UI /
English locale - [AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1546757 - 2013-12-02]" on
German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile. Everythin als
described by ALG.

Reporter's description is much too rare to decide whether he really found a
bug. But I think Armin's analysis is correct. So IRREPRODUCIBLE.

--- Comment #2 from Armin Le Grand <Ar...@me.com> ---
ALG: One more hint: The selection is described with a text in the left part of
the bottom bar. When two objects are selected it reads '2 Rectangles selected'
(e.g.), when grouped it reads 'Group object selected'. That text changes
corerctly and clearly also shows that the ungroup works.
