[VOTE] Name for UIMA TextMarker
Hi,
I am proposing to rename the UIMA TextMarker projects to UIMA-RUTA. The
voting follows the usual Apache guidelines for votes on code
modification [1]. The previous discussion can be found here [2-4].
Please vote on the name:
[ ] +1 The name is OK
[ ] 0 Don't care
[ ] -1 The name is not OK, because ...

+1 "RUTA" Seems to be OK - checked the internet - most hits were for the name of
a particular kind of flowering plant, used in homeopathy. Also checked the US
trademarks - seems OK there too. And our use, combined with UIMA-, makes it
even less likely to be an issue.

There are two software related hits on google:

Ruta Software appears to be an empty website,
not sure if a company with that name is registered somewhere.
Ruta Tool is some DSP software, but they probably didn't registered any
trademarks.

given that "ruta" is a generic word in Spanish, the name of a herb, and a reasonably common surname and even first name, I doubt that it could be properly claimed as a trademark at all.
