Tathagata Das reopened SPARK-7532:
----------------------------------
> Make StreamingContext.start() idempotent
> ----------------------------------------
>
> Key: SPARK-7532
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-7532
> Project: Spark
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Streaming
> Reporter: Tathagata Das
> Assignee: Tathagata Das
> Priority: Blocker
>
> Currently calling StreamingContext.start() throws error when the context is already started. This is inconsistent with the the StreamingContext.stop() which is idempotent, that is, called stop() on a stopped context is a no-op.
