While our JIRA is being migrated to the ASF, I've set up the old instance to send notifications to our dev list. Unfortunately, they seem to either get spam-filtered or blocked, and I don't get the usual "do you want to allow this person to post to this list" email.

JIRA's mail-sending feature does work, as you can see from our old archival list: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/spark-issues, which is still getting new comments. Hopefully something can be enabled on the ASF end to allow them to make it here.

Happy to test this when you think you've enabled it.
