[jira] [Commented] (HBASE-25459) WAL can't be cleaned with phoenix5

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-25459?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17258882#comment-17258882 ]

Duo Zhang commented on HBASE-25459:
-----------------------------------

But in fact this can not be solved by introduce a customized wal implementation? The problem is that we calculate the families and store it in WALEdit, and after Phoenix changes the things in WALEdit, we will not recalcuate it and then the column family tracing is broken.

This is a bit strange, you add something in WALEdit but not want it in memstore? Then how do you deal with WAL replay?

Thanks.
