Scufl 2 Pages for website

Hi All,

Now that the Scufl 2 / language has been moved to the Apache
repositories I will create some web pages for it on:
http://taverna.incubator.apache.org/

and place some links in the nav bar.

Please send me link to the various places I should get the scuffle 2
information from.
Including any pages already on http://taverna.incubator.apache.org/

Note I only need the parent pages, I can them follow the links on that
pages deciding which child pages to copy over.
I already have:
https://github.com/apache/incubator-taverna-language/blob/master/README.md
So don't need any pages already included in the readmes

For example should stuff at:
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/SCUFL2+API
or
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/2010-07+SCUFL2
be used.

This includes any link to external sites I should make sure we link to:

I have added a header to every page in the wiki
Scufl2 has moved to Apache (incubator)
Information in this section is out of date!
With a link to the Apache webpages

Most of that section of the myGrid wiki should probably be archived and
just have a page that redirects to the correct Apache page.

I have copied over the pages as suggested except:
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/SCUFL2+API
as it is significantly different to:
https://github.com/apache/incubator-taverna-language

I have not yet update any examples as suggested here.

I have added an extra "scufl2" menu list which shows up whenever a scufl2 page is selected.

Next steps;

Mark mygrid pages deprecated

Do the download page.

copy/ moved some of the stuff from https://github.com/apache/incubator-taverna-language to the api page

Update examples.

Please: If anyone would like to make any changes please reply to this first so we don't get conflicts/ duplicate work.

Christian

If you feel like updating them - simply copy the relevant filepaths and XML from
.././incubator-taverna-language/taverna-scufl2-examples/examples/helloanyone.wfbundle

Fine (But not all of those are handled by guess.taverna.org.uk yet)

Drop it.

Generally fine - but some outdated examples.

This is the proposal that lead to
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/Scufl2+URIs
.. but as it contains the explanations perhaps some its content should
go into Scufl2+URIs

See also http://ns.taverna.org.uk/ which explains the namespaces

No, this is very much up to date and needs to move over.

Out of date - but placeholder needed as

http://ns.taverna.org.uk/2010/scufl2#http://ns.taverna.org.uk/2010/scufl2#

goes there.

Yes - see

"ns.taverna.org.uk and apache.org"
at
http://taverna.incubator.apache.org/ns/

We will transfer DNS of *.taverna.org.uk to Apache.

I think it should be without the plural - e.g.

http://guess.taverna.org.uk/ does not support /2010/workflow/ yet -
but it should not be hard as it would look pretty much the same as

http://guess.taverna.org.uk/workflowBundle/2f0e94ef-b5c4-455d-aeab-1e9611f46b8b/workflow/HelloWorld/processor/hello/out/output1

Looking at the mygrid pages I suggest coping the following pages:
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/SCUFL2
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/Scufl2-DataLink
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/Scufl2-Processors
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/Scufl2-Profile
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/Scufl2+URIs

http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/Scufl2-WorkflowBundle
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/Taverna+Workflow+Bundle
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/Taverna+URI+templates

I suggest not folling these pages as the are marked as old or incomplete.
Do we need stubs for any of these or do I just remove the links?
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/SCUFL2+API

http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/2010-05+Semantification
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/TAVOSGI/2013-02+Data+bundle+requirements

There is a lot of use of
  "http://ns.taverna.org.uk/2010/workflows" expecialy in minted URIs
1. Is this still correct?
2. As that points to
http://taverna.incubator.apache.org/ns/2010/workflows we should put a

Great! Yes - we would definitely need more documentation about Taverna
Language as that will be the first one out of the door.

Sounds like you have gathered most of the links!

More READMEs nested:

https://github.com/apache/incubator-taverna-language/tree/master/taverna-databundle
https://github.com/apache/incubator-taverna-language/tree/master/taverna-robundle
https://github.com/apache/incubator-taverna-language/tree/master/taverna-scufl2-examples
https://github.com/apache/incubator-taverna-language/tree/master/taverna-scufl2-wfdesc

I think perhaps now the READMEs have too much information (They are
more Github style) - they should focus on developer-aspects like how
to build it and which modules are what - while how to use the thing
should rather be on the website (as it might help inform you if you
are going to download it in the first place).

It's tricky for these ones in taverna-language as they are APIs and so
it is also good for the documentation to be quite close to the code -
so keeping links into browsing the GitHub rendtion of a class for
instance, is also an implicit invitation for "Go here to fix
something". In many cases I would prefer those kind of links over
links to the javadoc. Obviously any shortened READMEs (to avoid
duplication) should link to the new pages.

Also:
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/Taverna+Workflow+Bundle
https://w3id.org/bundle

Do not transfer pages like:
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/SCUFL2+language
http://dev.mygrid.org.uk/wiki/display/developer/Taverna+URI+templates
as those pages are rather out of date (for instance uses Turtle
instead of RDF/XML)

The javadoc for taverna-language are at
http://taverna.incubator.apache.org/javadoc/taverna-language/

A tutorial for RO+Data bundle which could easily be rewritten to not
need the taverna/taverna-dev-tutorials repository:
