update maven from 1.0 to maven 2.x

I have maven 1.0-rc1 on the system. Is there any easy way to upgrade to
maven2?

1.1 RC1 I suppose ..

if you didn't customised a lot maven 1 you can use mvn one:convert to
transform your POM.
