Re: [BUILD]solaris build failed again.

Recently i try to build Dev snapshot version, but meet some problem:
(i exec build --all in the dir smoketestoo_native)

If configure not add --with-system-cppunit, it will build until
smoketestoo_native then appear this error message that findn't
libtest.so, and i have check the dir "ooo/main/test" , it hasn't this
file. (hasn't been builded)
And then check smoketestoo_native/prj/build.lst, "test" is exist. Then
exec command build in the test dir,
it appear this message like "cppunit disabled , nothing to do".

Then i try to test build with --with-system-cppunit, configure can
pass, but in building, it appear these error message:

Can you please create a new thread with your build 'recipe' - this would
include the base line and tools in your build environment, as well as
the commands used to run the build. (of course, workarounds and
'tricks' are also useful to know)
Sending this to the list will make this information available to people
looking for this information in the future (and also help me to set up
the solaris buildbot ;-)

The file is main/stlport/systemstlguards/preextstl.h and
may be your compiler does not like how includes are wrote in that file.
See if removing the spaces between "#" and "include" solves the issue.
Another issue may be that the macro _STLP_NATIVE_HEADER generates
malformed header includes according to your compiler. You'll find that
macro in main/solver/340/unxsoli4.pro/inc/stl/stl/_config.h
In this case, it will be useful to get the preprocessed text, if your
compiler has an option like gcc's -E ("Stop after the preprocessing
stage; do not run the compiler proper. The output is in the form of
preprocessed source code, which is sent to the standard output.")
This sees to be the error with all the "Badly formed include file
name", but I'm just guessing.

for the record, the build didn't break on Linux/Ubuntu because GTK_LIBS
includes GTHREAD_LIBS:

GTK_LIBS="-pthread -lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0 -latk-1.0 -lgio-2.0 -lpangoft2-1.0 -lpangocairo-1.0 -lcairo -lpango-1.0 -lfreetype -lfontconfig -lgdk_pixbuf_xlib-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lgobject-2.0 -lgthread-2.0 -lrt -lglib-2.0  "

GTHREAD_LIBS="-pthread -lgthread-2.0 -lrt -lglib-2.0  "

all libraries listed in GTHREAD_LIBS are already present in GTK_LIBS;
but this is not the case on Solaris.

Nice :) Please post them here, tag your message with [BUILD] and maybe
starting the subject with "Solaris SPARC" will help find then later.

We had the same problem building AOO on OpenSolaris. It seems, that
adding "-lgthread-2.0 -lpthread -lthread" to GTK_LIBS fixed this problem
in our setup (maybe "-lgthread-2.0" is enough).
However this does not seem to be the "right" solution ;)
Could someone who knows the build system a bit better take a look at
this?

I have some other build related "fixes" (or workarounds) for AOO on
Solaris/SPARC. Is someone interested to look at them?
In the end I got a working build on that platform - so if someone is
interested in this, I'd be glad to share the stuff I found out.

kind regards

it would help to know the command generated to invoke your compiler.
If it worked before, but stopped working after the latests revision, it
might be the change in the external library.
Comparing the previous command that worked with this new one, you'll get
an idea of what's wrong now. Just a hint, as I've never built on
Solaris.

can you post the full generated command?
Also, the contents of GTK_CFLAGS, GTK_LIBS, GTHREAD_CFLAGS et. al. may

Today i try to build failure, it appear this error message. Maybe
recently have modified some code about gtk?
==========================================================

[ build LNK ] Library/libvclplug_gtk.so
Undefined                       first referenced
 symbol                             in file
g_thread_init
/UNIX-LAB/ooo/main/solver/340/unxsoli4.pro/workdir/CxxObject/vcl/unx/gtk/app/gtkinst.o
ld: fatal: symbol referencing errors. No output written to
/UNIX-LAB/ooo/main/solver/340/unxsoli4.pro/workdir/LinkTarget/Library/libvclplug_gtk.so
make: *** [/UNIX-LAB/ooo/main/solver/340/unxsoli4.pro/workdir/LinkTarget/Library/libvclplug_gtk.so]
Error 2
dmake: Error code 2, while making 'all'
---* RULES.MK *---

1 module(s):
        vcl
need(s) to be rebuilt

Reason(s):

ERROR: error 65280 occurred while making /UNIX-LAB/ooo/main/vcl/prj

When you have fixed the errors in that module you can resume the build
by running:

        build --all:vcl
