[jira] [Commented] (ARROW-10576) [Rust] publish new crate to work with stable toolchain

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARROW-10576?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17232027#comment-17232027 ]

Neville Dipale commented on ARROW-10576:
----------------------------------------

Hi [~comicfans], the Arrow project follows a release model, where the various language implementations are released together, often after a few months. The next release is likely to be between Jan and Feb 2021, and the arrow crate will indeed support stable (if not using features that require nightly) in that release.

Any opinions on this [~jorgecarleitao]?

> I've found all 3 version rust crate requires nightly toolchain, because arrow use feature(specialization), but recently
>  ARROW-10002: [Rust] Remove trait specialization from arrow crate
> already removed such requirement, can we publish new crate to work with stable toolchain ?
