Tomcat WebApp as Sling bundle

Has anybody tried creating a bundle of a [Tomcat] WebApp (not necessarily a war) and then run this big bundle in a Sling server?
If, yes
- What ist o be considered?
- simple pom.xml to build/create the bundle (I guess ist mostly copying)?
- how/where should the servlet be registered in ordert o be called from the outside?
