Introduction

Hi.

I am new to this, so I wish to provide background on myself.

My experience has been in media and journalism as a writer and editor for
newspapers, magazines, and trade journals.

My interests include technical writing, technical editing, and technical
communications. Although I haven't experience in this field, I wish to
learn and apply what I have learned to projects.

I am based in Gloversville, New York, U.S.A.

I've been meaning to make it over to the Adirondacks again, once I can
reliably predict black fly season ;-)

With your background in both writing and media, I'm sure your
contributions would be valued in our documentation team and/or our
marketing/communications team.

Each subteam has its own mailing list.  Your email went to our dev
list, which is our main coordination list.  We also have
doc@openoffice.apache.org and marketing@openoffice.apache.org.
