- The default Cocoon [Transformer] uses XSLT ''stylesheets'' to convert the XML flow passing through the [Pipeline], either in another XML flow or in HTML by selecting, sorting and otherwise processing the XML.
? ^^^^ - ^

- Obviously, you also can't generate multiple output documents from a single transformation (some XSLT engines have extensions for this, and it'll be formally part of XSLT 2.0). You're limited to returning a single document as the result of the HTTP request to the Cocoon server.

- Writing good XSLTs is heavily experienced-based. \\
- I also did not find any XSLT-patterns resources until now.\\
- I learned XSLT on the [Mulberry XSLT list|http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list/]. That's a very good resource with the best XSLT-writers offering their help: Michael Kay, David Carlisle or Jeni Tennison [http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Mail/Leaders/XSL-List], but learning from a mailing list, i.e. by other ones' use cases, is of course very time consuming.\\

- From this list I know that Jeni Tennison is a very good explainer and I heard her books are good as well. She has one book for beginners: [http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1861005946/] and one for advanced users: [http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764547763/]. - Welcome to the Cocoon documentation Wiki. It is not large, it is not small, it is simply available to anyone actually feeling like adding some info to complement what's on the [main Cocoon web site|http://www.pharmafairy.com/]. Type away! Explore the publicist in you! This wiki is generally a "jumping point" for bringing new documentation into the project.
