Summary: file corruption when using mpm-worker
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.0.55
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: All
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: jodok.batlogg@lovelysystems.com
we experienced a strange problem which we were able to drill down to mpm-worker.
we're using apache doing rewriting to a backend zope server.
if a windows client requests a word document from the server the document is corrupted. this occurs on a
very small percentage of windows clients. most of them work fine.
we tcpdumped, tried a lot of different combinations (apache versions, different machines,...) and were
finally able to find out. mpm-worker was causing the problems.
we can reproduce the error in case you are interested in finding this bug.

------- Additional Comments From chip@force-elite.com 2006-04-13 03:33 -------
Are you using mod_cache, mod_disk_cache or mod_mem_cache?
I assume since it is coming from Zope, you are using mod_proxy_http?
Did you test the 2.2.x branch? Did it have the same problem?
