the Wl flags loaded from for the mod_perl stuff?

As it seems that you're the only one having the problem, I meant that
*you* might fix it and submit a patch.  That's what this Open Source
stuff is all about.  :)

You need to recompile Apache and mod_perl if you rebuild Perl.
