Issue 2580/3408 zombie patch in 1.6.2 please

The fix for issue 3408 "Subversion creates zombies on unixen"

Would it be possible to get some votes for this and get it backported  
to the 1.6.x branch for a release in the upcoming 1.6.2 release?
