task usage

Hi all,

I'm a ANT newbie facing a problem with <uptodate>
tag usage.  Basically, I would like to check
an idl file (my single src file) is more uptodate
than bunch of generated files (my target files).  

I have tried using few combinations of <uptodate>
task with no luck.  I'm using ANT 1.5.1 on JDK1.3

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
