qemu-kvm tweaking (CloudStack-2.2.14)

Dear colleagues,

Has anybody managed to set/change parameters of qemu-kvm for certain
instance before it launches?
For example, if I want to add the 3rd drive or to emulate some different
model of the NIC and so on...
Are there any working hacks for that?
