Minutes: JDO TCK Conference Call Friday March 11, 9 AM Pacific Time (PST)

Posted by Craig Russell <cr...@oracle.com>.
Attendees: Michael Bouschen, Craig Russell

Agenda:

1. JDO 3.1: Need to go through change lists in JIRA for 3.1 RC1 and 3.1 to prepare JCP Change Log

2. JDO social media properties (see email from Matthew)

Does anyone think it’s useful to post e.g. Michael has new test cases for parameters. We missed JDO 3.1. Should we go back and post the new release of 3.1?

3. JDO-752 "JDOQL: add test case for domain objects as parameters": https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-752

Patch looks good. What should happen if a transient instance is passed as a parameter to navigate to a field? The specification 14.6.1 says that an implementation *might* support transient instances as parameters. Also 14.6 , queries over collections containing transient instances might be supported. So we should not include transient instances as parameters in the tck.

4. JDO-751 "Support for Java8 Optional" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-751

We will need a new domain object model for Optional in the tck.
