The BOM is really helpful, but it needs to be fixed. Upgrading to Deltaspike 1.8.0 BOM made a change to the hibernate-validator version in our business product.
Here is why you have a problem. Your current pom structure:
# deltaspike-project
# parent <- this one has dependencyManagement section which inherits to bom
# parent-code
# distributions-project
# distributions-bom
Your distributions-bom should have deltaspike-project as parent, then the bom is fixed.
