[jira] [Commented] (TINKERPOP3-836) Support Hadoop2 in place of Hadoop1

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TINKERPOP3-836?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14745403#comment-14745403 ]

David Robinson commented on TINKERPOP3-836:
-------------------------------------------

Doing testing for Titan 1.0, which supports Hadoop 2.7.1 - it appears that Giraph 1.1.0 does not yet support Hadoop 2.7.1. There are compile errors occurring in some SASL files - at least for me, unless I back off to Hadoop 2.3.

For this task, can we remediate Giraph 1.1.0 so that the Hadoop 2 support here can be compatible with the latest Hadoop ? I was glancing at some Hive fixes and believe there is example code there on what might be done in Giraph.

Or, just tell me I'm wrong about the Giraph/Hadoop 2.7.1 support / compile issue and I will be happy.

> After a community VOTE it seems that there is a landslide desire for Hadoop2 support (in place of Hadoop1).
