I'd suggest talking with Atlassian or asking on answers.atlassian.com about it.
Let us know if there is something we can do, but we cant look into it ourselves at this point.

> It appears that two distinct files resolve to the same path, if one file doesnt exist....
> {noformat}
> mkdir oldpatches
> mv *patch oldpatches
> wget https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/attachment/12667627/BIGTOP-1417.3.patch
> wget https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/attachment/12667627/BIGTOP-1417.4.patch
> echo "now diffing two different patches... "
> sleep 2
> diff BIGTOP-1417.3.patch BIGTOP-1417.4.patch
> echo ".. done ! "
> {noformat}
> Basically, this bug appears if someone mistypes the second url.
> If a url doesnt exist (i.e. if 12667627/BIGTOP-1417.4 doesnt exist) the download should fail, not result in a downloaded file of different contents.
