Flex 4.9 and FB 4.0

Hi flex team,
I am glad to say, I am successfully able to upgrade my application to flex sdk 4.9 from sdk 4.1.
I am using Flash Builder 4.0.1

I have some queries regarding same,
People say FB does not show design view when used Apache Flex SDK but I am able to see my design view.
Can I able to use new components which are created in Apache flex and able to show it in design view?
Is there any harm in using design view with apache flex sdk?

For example,
I am not able to see S:DataGrid in design view if I used Apache flex sdk with adobe flash builder 4.0.1.
So suppose I created a custom datagrid which extends apache spark datagrid and in createChildren/Constructor method by using "UIComponentGlobals.designMode" flag I redrawn some squares which will be displayed at design view.
Can it be possible?

If Yes,
Why apache flex sdk didn't do it to support older version of FB?

(For me design time is very critical. Because we have created a tool on top of eclipse/flash builder which uses design time view, extends it properties panel. Most of the content developers(100+) only do configuration by dragging - dropping and do not touch source code.)

Thanks & Regards,

Really ? I don't think Adobe support that any more ? Even with the
release before Apache Flex was created.
