Tapestry vs Velocity when developing portlet

Good day!

I'm choosing technology for developing portlet. I want develop portlets
with user input in edit modes. So, I want validation. In some portlets I
want to use such functionality as tree and data table.

So, what is the best technology for developing portlets: Velocity or
Tapestry?
