[Bug 4263] New: When installing via CPAN get character set problem in prefs_Include
http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4263
Summary: When installing via CPAN get character set problem in
prefs_Include
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 3.0.2
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: blocker
Priority: P5
Component: Building & Packaging
AssignedTo: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
ReportedBy: ddb@tekops.com
This appears to be a an international character problem. I have tried editing
the /etc/sysconfig/i18n file to solve the UTF problem in redhat and it didn't
make a difference. I still get a problem during the make where it can't match a
date string with prefs_include. I read the wiki and other notes here as well as
searched usenet and the web for a solution and found none (sorry for my
ignorance). I tried to read the bug guidelines but that page is missing on your
webserver.

Can you please test the current nightly build of SpamAssassin and see if
this is still happening to you?

When checking the t/log/prefs_include... file it shows several c2 characters
that are not here but the same text otherwise. Running redhat, kernel:
