   Hi all,
   
   I think splitting out the cache etc. is a good suggestion, however, a lot of projects are impacted by this bug right now, so I propose to merge in this fix and create another ticket to improve the cache and/or testability of the cache.
   
   Please, give this PR the right prioritization, so that we can benefit from this fix.
