snapshot for conferences

Hey all-

Since we aren't going to make it to a 0.8.z for the conferences, I'm
going to manually roll and post a beehive snapshot (binary but not
source) on dist in the "nightlies" area.

The samples are not all working, of course.  But I did fix up the
build.dist.archives target so we are at least meeting the legal
requirements.

I'd like to do this this afternoon PST but if any of you have a pet bug
you would like fixed before I do so, I'll hold off until tomorrow.  Just
let me know...

Thanks for the heads-up.  I have a pet bug I do *not* want to fix before 
the drop, so I'll wait until you're done.  :)
