[jira] [Commented] (INFRA-9419) Nexus missing apt plugin for .deb package handling

Andrew Bayer commented on INFRA-9419:
-------------------------------------

So I don't think we want to be using the deb support in Nexus - if the Sling project wants to be publishing Debian (or RPM) packages, Infra's piloting use of bintray.com/apache for publishing package repositories.

> The apache sling project is building a debian package which is (or at least should be) being copied as part of the release, but it's not showing up in the release area presented by nexus:
> The reason being that the apache nexus instance is not running with the apt plugin:
> This end of this thread discusses the problem:
> Could the apt plugin be installed on the apache nexus instance so that the released sling-server_*.deb package is available for direct download?
