[jira] [Commented] (SPARK-15014) Spark Shell does not work with Ammonite Shell

Sean Owen commented on SPARK-15014:
-----------------------------------

Why is this a Spark problem per se? Spark has its own shell (derived of course from the Scala shell), but it isn't pluggable.

> Lihaoyi has an enhanced Scala Shell called Ammonite. https://github.com/lihaoyi/Ammonite
> Users of Ammonite shell have tried to use it with Apache Spark. https://github.com/lihaoyi/Ammonite/issues/382
> Spark Shell does not work with Ammonite Shell, but I want it to because the Ammonite REPL offers enhanced auto-complete, pretty printing, and other features. See http://www.lihaoyi.com/Ammonite/#Ammonite-REPL
