generate javascript variable

Hi All,
I try to use a variable that get javascript script because I want to send
random data each request.
My problem is JMeter doen't generate the script, It just post the string
'try=${__javascript(${SUM})}'
I try to use User Variables and assign the javascript code to my variable (I
see this way here<http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/jakarta-jmeter-user/201001.mbox/%3C4B4DBFC8.3030002@ecm4u.de%3E>
) And I also try the bsf - pre processor , and I get the same result.
What did I do worng?

__javascript is not the same as __javaScript.
