Re: London Wicket User Group - Wednesday, 5th September 2007

To those of you that received my email about the tube strike in London, I can
confirm that our event will go ahead as planned (see below); thanks to those
of you that already replied saying they can still make it.

Anyone else that would like to join us on Wednesday evening can still
register at http://jWeekend.co.uk jWeekend.co.uk .

There, you will see a real-world, albeit fairly simple, Wicket app in
action: on registering at our London Wicket User Group registration page
(click on the "Our Free London Wicket Events" menu item) it will update the
registrants table (JPA/Hibernate), add you to the registrants list on the
page and send you an email. In the email you will find a link (with an
encrypted parameter to identify your registration). When you visit that
link, you can click one of two buttons, to confirm or cancel your booking
(and again, see the result in the registrants list). You will then get a
confirmation email (saying whether you have confirmed or cancelled and how
to reverse this if you change your mind later) which is also sent to the
event host (Skills Matter for Wednesday's event) so they can put you on
their guest list - all thanks to Wicket!
Regards - Cemal
