## Description
`org.apache.logging.log4j.core.util.FileUtils.mkdir(File, boolean)` looses exception causes.
## Configuration
**Version:** 2.26.1
**Operating system:** Darwin 25.6.0 Darwin Kernel Version 25.6.0: Tue Aug 18 17:48:46 PDT 2026; root:xnu-12377.161.15.700.19~2/RELEASE_ARM64_T6041 arm64
**JDK:** openjdk version "17.0.20.1" 2026-08-18

## Logs
The exception cause is missing from stack traces.

Note that I tried to port this patch to the `main` branch because it looks like the target is out of sync to being with.
