{DNSToSwitchMapping#resolve}}  could return null, thus causing {{DatanodeManager#sortLocatedBlocks}} to throw NPE, because of its call to {{String rName = dnsToSwitchMapping.resolve(hosts).get(0);}}

The real failure reason is not obvious to user.

Creating this jira to make the error reporting more user friendly.
