The attached patch fixes the compiler errors you get if you try to compile with gcc 4.1 (and I tested that it still compiles on gcc 3.3).

Alexey, do you intend for this to be integrate this within classlib or keep it as a separate component in the harmony project for use by classlib?  I ask because clearly it could be useful in isolation from harmony.  Have you given any thought to the classlib changes needed to use it?
