Passing information from servlet to WCK

Hi all-

Does anyone know of a way to pass a String from the
WebDAV servlet to an implementation of the WCK
BasicWebdavStore interface?

I am currently appending the information to the
resource URI, but this is creating other problems
(e.g. resource does not exist at the URI).
