[jira] Commented: (TAPESTRY-1001) The error message is not correct
[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAPESTRY-1001?page=comments#action_12419702 ]
Jesse Kuhnert commented on TAPESTRY-1001:
-----------------------------------------
The message seems pretty clear to me. Could be that I'm just used to seeing it parsing XML in general though. This isn't a tapestry specific error. Did you have something better in mind that would apply to page and jwc templates alike?
> The error message is not correct

> Key: TAPESTRY-1001
> URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAPESTRY-1001
> Project: Tapestry
> Type: Bug
> Components: Framework
> Versions: 4.0.2
> Reporter: Zsombor
> Priority: Trivial
>
> I've specified a component with a parameter, and I tried to specify type :
> <parameter name="eventList" type="java.util.List" />
> But it throws an exception which states:
> "Unable to read context:/WEB-INF/components/EventList.jwc: Attribute "type" must be declared for element type "parameter"."
> This is a little bit misleading .... I've wondered for several minutes what to do, until i've finally removed the 'type' parameter.
