This behaviour is still apparent in version AOO411m6(Build:9775) - Rev. 1617669
Steps to reproduce:
- In a presentation, create an object animation & select a start option
- Under "Effect Dissolve In" section of Custom Animation side panel, Click on
the ellipsis (...) next to the property field
- Select Timing tab and you will see the delay option
- Maximum value is 999.9 seconds
Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 (a comparable product) allows a delay of 60 seconds.
This appears to be a reduction in the available duration from previous versions
of PowerPoint.
Apparently it is possible to use the timeline in PowerPoint in order to
workaround the 60 seconds max duration:
