Documentation on relationship between the Jetspeed Source and the resulting WAR file

Hi,
  I am evaluating the Jetspeed 2 portal platform for a large
development contract I am undertaking. I am familiar with Jetspeed 1
as I have already designed and delivered a solution based on this
platform, although this was delivered 18 months ago and my contact
with the portals has been limited since.

  I need to come up to speed with the Jetspeed 2 platform and I need
to understand how a number of parts of the source tree correspond to
the resulting jetspeed.war file when it is constructed.

  The main thing I am trying to work out at this stage is JETSPEED-INF
and how it relates to the deployed WAR file. When I start the portal
at the moment I get an exception relating to getting preferences from
JETSPEED-INF/ojb/prefs_repository.xml and I cannot find this in the
webapp expanded directory.

  Is there a good source of documentation on how it is built, the
relationship of parts of the source tree with the deployed WAR?
