Accessing a factory from a service

Hi,
My Hibernate session factory delivers Hibernate Session in the 
per-thread-model.
I would like however to have one session in my application which stays 
open and will be used for configuration data - to do that I need to 
access the factory -

I am using the same code (factory aso) as HiveTranse.

is there a way to access a factory from a service?
is there an alternative way to do that?
