equalizing the size of pictures in docbooks between PDF and HTML
The docbook process has a bit of customization for included images, to attempt
to get the images to be the same "relative" size for PDFs and HTML output.
The customization, if you're curious is in uima-build-resources project in
src/main/resources/docbook-shared/common/html-pdf.xsl.
The code that does this runs for the docbook element <mediaobject>, and scales
the PDF size (different amounts depending on the "unit" used for the size), as
compared to the html size.
Here's an example: The first image in the CasEditor documentation is shown with
the text flowing above it; I've captured the screenshot in my Adobe Reader (for
the PDF) at 100%, and in my firefox browser (for the html):
PDF: http://imm.io/bWOW
html: http://imm.io/bWPW
The html one is a little smaller, but not much...
Cheers. -Marshall
