[jira] [Commented] (THRIFT-2000) TNonblocking server does not
compile with libevent 2.0.21-stable
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/THRIFT-2000?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14530290#comment-14530290 ]
Konrad Grochowski commented on THRIFT-2000:
-------------------------------------------
I have no idea how TNonblockingServer can compile without event_compat.h include, as we use event_set and it is defined only in that include.
Probably on some linuxes event_compat.h is somehow implicitly included by other deps. On Windows I need that patch to compile TNonblockingServer and even in 2.0.15 libevent version (as even then event_set was deprecated)

> problem lays in usage of deprecated libevent API, which is still available but in different headers
> In patch there's ifdef based on libevent version, which will include missing headers, but maybe some refactoring for future will be needed
