Facing problem in examples.

Hi Ignite Team,
I am new to the Ignite and its application,
I was intended to work with C++ examples, in the put-get example the cache
name was not given in the example source code, i gave that part and its up
and good to go, the executable is starting and writing the contents in the
cache and reading from the cache but to create a cluster i am starting the
one more ignite node in the same server (also tried in the different server)
but i am getting this error, in the start of the second node (the second
node may be the executable of the one more instance by executing ignite.sh).

Here is the error that i am getting:
[xyz@V235-Dev putget-example]$ ./ignite-putgetexample
TBR--->   main Started
TBR--->   Loading the config/example-cache.xml
TBR--->   Loaded the config/example-cache.xml

Thanks for confirming that the issue has been solved.

I’ve added a special documentation section [1] to avoid issues like that in the future and placed "Platforms Interoperability Getting Started” callout block to C++ Getting Started Guide [2] to draw attention to these extra settings.

Hi,

Denis is right. Currently C++ and Java nodes have different default
binary configurations, so you need to set them up properly.

You need to add the following to your config

<property name="binaryConfiguration">
            <bean class="org.apache.ignite.configuration.BinaryConfiguration">
                <property name="compactFooter" value="false"/>

                <property name="idMapper">
                    <bean class="org.apache.ignite.binary.BinaryBasicIdMapper">
                        <property name="lowerCase" value="true"/>
                    </bean>
                </property>

                <property name="nameMapper">
                    <bean class="org.apache.ignite.binary.BinaryBasicNameMapper">
                        <property name="simpleName" value="true"/>
                    </bean>
                </property>

            </bean>
        </property>

Re: Facing problem in examples.

Posted by "Rahul.S" <ra...@tayana.in>.
Hi Denis,
Here is the configuration that i am using, this configuration is used in
both 235 and 26 server, where my C++ application is running in 235.
In this case i have made the 26 node up and then i am starting the 235 C++
application node.
below after this configurations I have pasted the logs...

In other case if I start the C++ application node first and then i start the
other node then my application will run with out error but my another node
will face the same kind of error.....

Please, share the full configuration and logs from both nodes.

Igor Sapego, please have a look.

Hello Denis,
I am using two servers here, in my 253 i have the C++ example application is
running and i am running a node in 26.
As i start my application it will come up smoothly along with ignite if
there is none of the other nodes are up in the network else it will show the
previous errors (that o have already posted in the first message).
well i did the modification as you specified i used the list of ip's as
below:

        <property name="discoverySpi">
            <bean
class="org.apache.ignite.spi.discovery.tcp.TcpDiscoverySpi">
                <property name="ipFinder">

                    <bean
class="org.apache.ignite.spi.discovery.tcp.ipfinder.vm.TcpDiscoveryVmIpFinder">

                                  <value>10.0.2.235</value>
                                  <value>10.0.2.26</value>
                            </list>
                        </property>
                    </bean>
                </property>
            </bean>
        </property>

but still facing the same....

Hi Rahul,

You need to provide a list of IP addresses since you use the static IP finder. Check this message:

Caused by: class org.apache.ignite.spi.IgniteSpiException: Non-shared IP
finder must have IP addresses specified in
TcpDiscoveryIpFinder.getRegisteredAddresses() configuration property
(specify list of IP addresses in configuration).

Read more about this IP finder here:
