[jira] [Updated] (OAK-10968) Avoid creating auxiliary string in PathUtils.isAncestor
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-10968?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]
Nuno Santos updated OAK-10968:
------------------------------
Description: The indexing logic makes a large number of calls to `PathUtils.isAncestor` when traversing the FFS, so many that it was showing up in the JFR profiling as representing a significant percentage of the total execution time and of the total allocations. It is fairly easy to avoid allocating a new string inside this method, and this optimization will benefit many other areas of Oak.
