MicroStrategy enabling tez through JDBC/ODBC

Hello,

We are using MicroStrategy as analytical layer. When submitting queries to hive, these are executed using MR engine only instead of Tez. We are using in the SQL script the command “set hive.execution.engine=tez”, but this seems not to work.

Any help here would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Alain

That's an interesting question. I believe you might have to *reconnect* to
HiveServer2 *after* setting hive.execution.engine=tez

This question is better answered in the Hive user mailing list.

I am guessing that this configuration needs to be set up on the Hive
Server 2 that is going to host the JDBC/ODBC end point.
