I just joined the Mahout user mailing list, and it was a bit of a process because the Mailing List page on the Mahout web site is incorrect. Specifically, this page - http://mahout.apache.org/mailinglists.html - has a number of errors. These include:
i) Outdated email addresses for the Mahout User List
ii) Outdated email addresses for the Mahout Developer List
iii) Links to the mahout-<...>@lucene.apache.org archives, but not links to the more recent <...>@mahout.apache.org lists. The upshot is that it looks like this project has seen no activity since May.
I'll submit a patch and atttach to this bug once I've finished downloading the source out of SVN and found the relevant page.

I don't know about the new site, but here's a patch to the mailinglists.xml that should resolve the issue on the current site. If the new site is not ready for whatever reason, it should be fairly easy to deploy this patch.

Agree. Robin is your new web site ready to go? from what I saw it's more than good enough for deployment, and I assume it has the latest information, which would fix this issue along the way.

The new website is checked in under mahout/site/new_website
Isabel had taken the pains of porting all these information to the wiki. Going forward, we will be using the wiki. So please update the same on the wiki
I had requested access to confluence to edit the wiki template to match the landing page. But the request is not given yet INFRA-2812 nor on the original tlp request issue. Once given I will push both the new website and confluence.
