Axis2 1.1: Custom encoders (Serializers/deserializers)

Hi all,

My company has an application build on the Axis 1.4 stack.  We have a
significant dependence/investment in the pluggable custom encoding
framework available in Axis 1.x.  Is there an analog in Axis2?
Obviously we would like to reuse what we can and not re-invent the
wheel.
