ApacheCon CFP review committee

By now, you should have received email from the ApacheCon CFP system
with your system credentials. Note that the email was rather confusingly
titled "EVENT NAME: Review Site Now Open" which caused me to overlook it
at first.

Thanks to all who have volunteered for this tasks.

I overlooked that completely! Thanks for the pointer. It would be indeed way more handy if that field was included in the review window...

Hi

I've been using the notes field to add my comments; It is a bit slower
though as the notes field is not included in the main review window.

Thanks
Sharan

I’ve reviewed a couple of submissions and saw quite a few that should be moved
to BigData. So far, I’ve rejected them and added a “move to big data” as
category. I hope that somebody “behind the scenes” is willing and able to
move these proposals to the right conference track. It would be a shame if
proposals are rejected because they’re submitted to the incorrect
conference…

BTW: am I the only one that is missing out on a comment field to add
additional comments why I want to accept or reject a proposal?

Same here (I think). If we find big data talk submitted to core should we a) ask them to be moved to big data OR b) reject them. Seem to recall we had this issue last time as well.

Thanks,
Justin

Rich, I only got access to review ApacheCon (formerly Core) submissions; no
the Big Data ones.
Is that something expected or an error?

The CfP says that notifications are due Feb 29, which is also the date that
conferenceabstracts.com shows.

So if we want to have some time to discuss the final details, we should
hurry up I guess.

Hi Rich,

I'm on the road with limited internet so I haven't looked, but when are
reviews due?

Thanks,
