In need of some guidance

Hi, I am very new to Lucene. Can you provide me with a link to a 
tutorial which can guide me to creating lucene indexes of text files.

Hi, 

Try  Lucene tutorial <http://www.lucenetutorial.com/>  . If you follow the
materials there you should be able to grasp what Lucene is and how to use
it. 

After that, you should read the Lucene In Action book. It is a very good
book that tells you everything about Lucene.
